Staying Connected Has Never Been Easier

When a loved one moves to Northgate Plus, your family is assigned a dedicated Family Engagement Manager — a single point of contact who knows your loved one, knows your family, and is always available for questions, updates, or concerns.

Monthly care conferences, weekly activity updates, and real-time notes in our Family Portal mean you're never left wondering. Distance is no barrier to being involved.

We also welcome and encourage in-person visits at any time. Our open-door policy reflects our belief that family presence is part of the care we provide.

Family Portal

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions families ask most when considering Northgate Plus.

How do I know if assisted living is the right choice? +
Assisted living is typically right when a loved one needs help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, or medication management, but does not yet require 24-hour skilled nursing. Our care advisors offer free assessments to help families determine the best fit.
Can my family member bring their own furniture? +
Absolutely. We actively encourage residents to personalize their space with meaningful furniture, artwork, family photos, and personal items. Our rooms are designed to accommodate personal furnishings alongside the standard safety fittings we provide.
What are the visiting hours? +
We have an open-door visiting policy for family members. Visits are welcome any time between 8am and 8pm. For visits outside these hours, please contact our front desk — we accommodate whenever possible, especially for those travelling long distances.
How is care pricing structured? +
Pricing varies by care level and room type, with a base monthly rate that covers accommodation, meals, and standard care. Additional clinical services are itemized transparently. We accept private pay, long-term care insurance, and can assist with Veterans' benefits applications.
What happens if my loved one's needs change? +
Northgate Plus is a continuum of care community, meaning residents can transition between care levels — from independent to assisted, or from assisted to memory care — without leaving their home or their community. Care plans are reviewed regularly and adjusted proactively.
Are pets allowed? +
We welcome small dogs and cats in our Independent and Assisted Living neighborhoods. Residents must be able to provide primary care for their pet, and we ask that all animals be registered with our team. Therapy animals visit regularly for all residents.
How do I report a concern about my loved one's care? +
Every family has a direct line to their Family Engagement Manager and can also contact our Executive Director at any time. All concerns are logged, investigated within 24 hours, and responded to in writing. We take feedback seriously as a tool for continuous improvement.
