About The Regency

Three decades of discreet, exceptional senior care in Scottsdale — built on an uncompromising commitment to excellence.

Our Heritage

Three Decades of Uncompromising Excellence

The Regency opened its doors in 1995 at a moment when Scottsdale's most discerning residents faced an uncomfortable choice: institutional care facilities that bore no resemblance to the lives they had built, or the burden of private home care with no community, no structure, and no guarantee of quality. Lord Harrington Developments set out to create a third option — one that treated its residents with the same standard they had always expected from their hotels, their clubs, and their physicians.

Now independently operated under Director Victoria Pemberton, The Regency has evolved and deepened without losing the founding conviction: that a person of distinction deserves care of distinction. We operate with 72 residents — a number chosen deliberately to ensure that every member of staff knows every resident as a person.

Thirty years of families who trusted us with their most important decision. That trust is the foundation of everything we do.

Our Principles

The Values That Define Us

I — Dignity

Dignity in All Things

Every interaction at The Regency — from a morning greeting to complex clinical care — begins and ends with an absolute respect for the person in our care. We do not infantilise, we do not condescend, and we never speak about a resident as though they are not present. Our residents have led extraordinary lives. We honour that.

II — Partnership

Family Partnership

Families entrust us with something irreplaceable. We receive that trust with seriousness. Our Family Liaison, Marcus Webb, is the dedicated point of contact for every resident's family — available personally, not through a call centre. Care decisions are made collaboratively, and families are never surprised.

III — Wellness

Whole-Person Wellness

Physical health is the foundation — but a life worth living requires more. Our approach addresses the emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual dimensions of each resident. A resident who feels purposeful, connected, and stimulated recovers faster, declines more slowly, and is simply happier. This is not idealism; it is evidence-based care.

IV — Improvement

Continuous Improvement

The Regency does not rest on its reputation. Our clinical team participates in ongoing professional development, our care protocols are reviewed annually against the latest geriatric medicine literature, and our Arizona ADHS inspections have returned outstanding ratings for fifteen consecutive years.
