A continuation of the refined, purposeful life our residents have always led — curated with care and delivered with distinction.
At The Regency, we reject the notion that moving into a senior community means diminishing one's standard of life. Our residents have held positions of consequence, built remarkable things, and cultivated rich cultural and intellectual lives. Our role is to support the continuation of that life — not to replace it with a programme of activities designed for a generic "senior."
Sophia Laurent, our Lifestyle Director, brings a decade in luxury hospitality to her role. She designs each resident's week with genuine attentiveness to their individual history, interests, and preferences. The result is a calendar that feels tailored rather than timetabled.
From private dining arrangements to curated lecture series, from the morning newspaper in the library to an evening concert in the music room, life at The Regency is full — because fullness, not just safety, is what we are here to provide.
This is an illustrative day — all schedules are shaped by individual preference and resident choice.
Early risers are served freshly pressed coffee, seasonal juices, and pastries in their suite or on the private terrace. The morning papers — including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times — are delivered with breakfast.
A full à la carte breakfast served by name in our dining room. Chef's specials change daily. Residents order from a written menu, as they always have. Dietary requirements are accommodated without drawing attention.
A choice of individual physiotherapy, group Pilates, a guided walk on the grounds, or quiet time in the library. Monday's current affairs discussion, led by a retired judge, is one of the most attended regular sessions.
A three-course luncheon served in the dining room. Menus are composed weekly by our Head Chef in consultation with our dietitian. Residents are invited to join communal tables or dine privately as they prefer.
The afternoon is a resident's own. Many use this time for family visits, correspondence, reading, or time in the courtyard garden. Our visiting lounges offer complete privacy for family conversations.
A formal afternoon tea service in the Camelback Lounge — bone china, tiered stands, and seasonal preserves made in-house. Often accompanied by a visiting musician, a poetry reading, or a film from the Regency archive selection.
An optional social hour in the lounge before dinner — a tradition that many residents particularly cherish. Our sommelier selects a daily wine to accompany light canapés prepared by the kitchen.
Dinner is a formal but unhurried occasion. Residents who prefer a lighter supper in their suite are always accommodated. Evening activities include bridge, cinema, and the monthly visiting chamber ensemble.
Our dining programme is led by Executive Chef Antoine Moreau, previously of two Michelin-starred restaurants in Chicago and Lyon. He joined The Regency in 2019 with a simple mandate from Victoria Pemberton: make every meal worth looking forward to.
Menus change weekly and draw on the finest seasonal Arizona produce, supplemented by sourced specialities. Every dish is prepared from scratch. Nothing is institutional. Residents have told us that the dining room is one of the reasons they chose The Regency — and one of the reasons they stay.
Painting classes with a visiting fine arts instructor, trips to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, and a rotating exhibition of resident artwork in our gallery corridor.
Monthly visiting chamber ensembles, a resident choir, and a curated listening library. The Regency's music room houses a restored Steinway grand piano, available to resident musicians.
Beautifully maintained desert gardens with shaded walking paths, a koi pond, and a private courtyard. Scottsdale's exceptional year-round climate makes outdoor life a constant pleasure.
A curated lecture series hosted monthly, a book club with a professionally curated reading list, and a current affairs discussion group led by a rotating roster of distinguished guests.
A private wellness suite offering massage therapy, reflexology, and aesthetic treatments. Individual physiotherapy, Pilates, and yoga are provided by specialist practitioners on a scheduled basis.
Curated seasonal excursions to Scottsdale's cultural institutions, the Phoenix Art Museum, Taliesin West, and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve — always with appropriate support and full concierge coordination.
Every suite at The Regency is designed to the standard of a fine private residence. Spacious, light-filled, and fully accessible, our suites accommodate a resident's own furniture, art, and personal possessions with ease. Many residents bring treasured pieces that make their suite an extension of the life they have lived.
Our interior design team is available to assist with room configuration, and our maintenance staff handle all installation, hanging, and adjustment without charge.
A visit speaks more than any brochure. We invite you to tour The Regency, meet our team, and stay for luncheon — entirely at your convenience.
